Last Frontier Cabin Interior Design for Short-Term Rentals
Travelling to Alaska was such a breathtaking and inspiring experience. Having the opportunity to work on this Anchorage Airbnb design and installation was such an amazing and fun project. However, shipping furniture to the Last Frontier can be tricky and I am glad I found Shop + Deliver by Lulu. They take care of everything, from ordering your shopping list to doorstep delivery in Anchorage!
Competition is fierce in the world of short term rentals, and it can be tough to get potential guests to click on your listing and book their stay. Therefore, great Airbnb design, functional amenities, useful necessities, fun games and professional photographs can make a real difference. Once booked, a place still needs to feel as cozy, functional and consistent as the listing photos and description.
If you need help designing and installing your short term rental, feel free to explore our short-term rental design services and reach out for a free introductory session to talk about your design project.
How to design a profitable Airbnb cabin?
This Anchorage Airbnb design is part of our specialized short-term rental design service, helping hosts increase visibility, booking and guest satisfaction in a competitive Airbnb market.
To stand out from competing listings, it is important to create a unique style and cohesive color palette that will make your space memorable. For this Alaska cabin design, I drew inspiration from the state’s dramatic natural landscapes and native artwork, translating that into a color scheme inspired by ice and sky blues, salmon pink, and sun-bleached red. To give the space personality, I also mixed in thrifted vintage décor, glassware, books, and a combination of real and faux greenery.

Master and Guest Bedrooms Cabin Design
The master bedroom and ensuite features an elevated, chic cabin aesthetic with blues and warm golds.
The two guest bedrooms share a bathroom and are inspired by the warm and inviting feel of classic ski lodges, blending coziness with style to make guests feel right at home.

Game Room and Gampling
The extra room downstairs serves as a fun game room with combo game table, arcade machine, a selfie stand backdrop, and a dedicated desk space.
In the upstairs loft, there is a playful glamping area that can accommodate up to four people. Ideal as a kids’ sleeping zone or additional guest space!
Outdoor Space
Outdoor living is key for an Airbnb, even in Alaska during the winter months! Colorful Adirondack chairs, pillows, and a fire pit make the outdoor area an inviting extension of the cabin. It will catch guests’ attention and stand out of the competition!
