I truly enjoyed this bathroom renovation. When my clients in Los Angeles asked if I would embark on this journey with them, I was delighted. The project was located in an LEED certified building with a well-established HOA, which meant working within several constraints, and I love that kind of challenge.
Those parameters led to thoughtful decisions, including preserving and reusing existing plumbing fixtures, such as the bathtub. Even if it was not in the initial design plans, it eventually avoided the removal of items still in excellent condition that would otherwise end up in a landfill. Construction generates a significant amount of waste, so reusing and repurposing quality materials is more important than ever, especially as we move into 2026.
If you need help navigating constraints or finding ways to reduce waste in your own bathroom renovation or any other interior projects, feel free to reach out as I am always eager to discuss and find more sustainable solutions.
The terrazzo countertop beautifully ties together the shower and floor tiles, as well as the custom vanity and linen cabinets. The makeup table addition is both functional and elegant, a detail we especially love.
